The UltraFit DS® wall system is unique in that it combines UltraFit DS®, a specially designed fiberglass insulation, with an inorganic water-activated powdered adhesive. This is sprayed into the wall cavity forming a seamless blanket of insulation in sidewalls. Facts about Fiberglass Insulation

• Fiberglass insulation is made from mineral substances processed from molten state to an incombustible fibrous form.

• Fiberglass insulation increases the sound transmission class (STC) rating when properly installed in building assemblies. It has been determined that thickness has greater value in sound control than density.

R-Value
   Insulation its thermal resistance or R-Value. "R" means the resistance to the heat flow. The higher the R-Value the greater the insulating value.
    The U.S. Department of Energy has determined a minimum R-value for eight distinct areas of the country. We are located in Zone 3 which means for electric heat, an R-Value of 38 is the minimum required, with gas or oil heat, an R-Value of 30 is the minimum required in ceilings below ventilated attics. R-Value of 19 is the minimum required for all other areas of the house, regardless of your heat source.
